What this is
Most Japan itineraries fail in the same two places: too many cities, and reservations left until the traveller arrives. A custom itinerary fixes both before departure.
You tell me your dates, how long you have and what matters. I return a plan that decides where you sleep each night, how you move between places, which tables are worth booking, and what to leave open — then I do the booking work that cannot be done from outside Japan.
What is included
- A day-by-day itinerary — every night, every move, every meal that needs deciding in advance
- Hotel selection with reasoning — two or three options per stop, with why each suits you and what the trade-off is
- Route and transport planning — trains, transfers, seat reservations and the rail pass decision
- Luggage forwarding schedule — what is sent where, on which morning
- Restaurant and experience reservations — including the Japanese phone-only bookings, held in your name
- Revisions until the plan is right
- Support while you are in Japan — including changes made on the ground
Who it suits
- First-time visitors who want the shape of the trip right the first time
- Travellers coming in cherry blossom or autumn, when the good options are gone months ahead
- Anyone who wants tables at counters that only take Japanese phone calls
- Trips covering four or more places, where the routing is not obvious
- Journeys that matter — a honeymoon, an anniversary, a first visit you will not repeat
It suits you less if you enjoy planning, have the time, and are doing Tokyo–Kyoto–Osaka in a quiet month. That trip you can build yourself, and I would say so.
