A Tokyo day with lunch, a cafe, dinner and a bar

This is our Day 2 planning example: Asakusa → Kappabashi → Kuramae, with a rest before a separate evening outing. The suggested times are pacing choices, not opening hours or confirmed appointments.

Suggested timeWhat the day feels like
09:30–11:30Senso-ji, Nakamise and the surrounding Asakusa streets. Explore independently or arrange a local guide separately.
11:45–12:45Lunch at Asakusa Mugitoro: tororo, grated yam over barley rice. Confirm which dining format and reservation method you want.
13:00–14:15Browse Kappabashi for cookware and tableware. Pick a few shops rather than trying to visit them all.
14:30–15:30Pause at Dandelion Chocolate in Kuramae for a chocolate drink and a sweet. Keep some appetite for dinner.
16:00–17:30Return to the hotel and rest. The hotel journey depends on where you stay; adapt the walking and transport for weather and mobility.
18:00 onwardChoose wagyu sukiyaki or shabu-shabu at Asakusa Imahan. An optional Lounge Vista drink keeps the evening in Asakusa; the rooftop lounge requires advance reservation. Allow dinner to finish comfortably before choosing the bar.

For this version, the appeal is old Tokyo, chocolate, wagyu and a night view. The PDF gives two options in every dining category, including a coffee-focused cafe and a French dinner alternative. A long tasting-menu dinner can be the evening’s main event; the bar is optional.
