In the afternoon you have an option to visit snow sports shops to see the latest gear before meeting at the hotel to head to the ‘welcome’ Japanese dinner at izakaya pub.

Day 2: Tokyo

Start the day with the impressive, Meiji Shrine set in a tranquil forest adjacent to the vibrant and bustling district of Harajuku which will be the next stop on this busy Sunday. Then moving on to Shibuya, known for its youth fashion and culture vibe, you get a great view of the famous Shibuya ‘scramble’ intersection and join the crowds crossing over to mingle in the exciting atmosphere. In Shibuya you will find an amazing array of shopping opportunities or a characteristic cafe. No trip to Tokyo would be complete without time to experience the atmosphere of the past at Asakusa in the heart of the ‘shitamachi’ (low area).  Asakusa is home to the ancient, vermillion coloured Sensō-ji, Tokyo’s oldest and perhaps most significant Buddhist temple.   You can enjoy wandering market style arcades of traditional Japanese souvenirs and crafts.

Day 3: Transfer to the snow fields

Leaving Tokyo by bullet train, the tour will head to the northern region of Tohoku to begin a 6 full day snow trip. There will be time to relax in an overnight stay at a traditional Japanese inn and experience bathing in the natural hot spring spa and enjoy a Japanese dinner
